“Coffee, Cake and Conversation” Talk Series

The design of your garden and the plants you choose to grow will influence the animals and birds that visit your backyard.

Enjoy coffee and cake, as our speaker, Michelle Rose, Environmental Education Officer with Woollahra Municipal Council, talks on the council’s Backyard Habitat Program, outlining the key components and tips for selecting local plant species. By connecting reserves, parks, backyards and street trees, corridors for birds and wildlife are established.

You’ll learn

  • Why create a habitat garden
  • What features are important for a habitat garden
  • How to select and grow locally native plants; and
  • How to attract small birds to your garden

All while enjoying the beautiful surrounds of Bonython Cafe.

A walk to a nearby community garden will follow.

Tickets are essential and are available strictly until sold out. Walk-ins not accepted.
