DESCRIPTION:Continuing our immensely popular “Conversations” series\, this talk by Robert Griffin will cover Paddington Terraces\, drawing on and updating his chapters from the book “Paddington: A history“. \nRobert contributed chapters to the book titled “Early Paddington”\, “The Victorian Suburb”\, and “The Paddington Terrace House”\, showing his unique ability to bring to life the interpretation of historic buildings\, sites and collections. \nPaddington is home to thousands of terrace homes built between 1860 and 1890 and is believed to be the largest collection outside of the United Kingdom. With the introduction of the recent NSW Government Low and Mid-Rise Housing Policy\, understanding the unique heritage of our Paddington Terraces is more important than ever! \nRobert Griffin \nRobert Griffin \nRobert Griffin is a heritage consultant with expertise in the architectural history of Sydney. He has lectured and published widely on the history and design of Sydney houses\, on historic interiors and the conservation of historic buildings.
