DESCRIPTION:The Paddington Society has been working to preserve Paddington’s heritage and amenity for 60 years. To celebrate this considerable achievement\, join us for Evening Drinks and Canapes from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday\, 6th November 2024\, at Victoria Barracks. \nEnjoy food and drinks and soak up the unique\, historical surroundings of Victoria Barracks. The regency-style Barracks is one of the best examples of military architecture. It was designed by Lieutenant-Colonel George Barney\, who also built Fort Denison. The barracks is a significant heritage site and home to the Headquarters of Forces Command. \nThe pedestrian entrance is from Oxford Street (open from 5:30pm)\, and parking is available in the Northern Carpark via the vehicle entrance on Moore Park Road. \nTickets: $60 Members; $70 Non-Members \nOptional Victoria Barracks Pre-Event Tour for Members\n \nAre you interested in the military history of New South Wales? Why not come along earlier on the day for a free guided tour of the Army Museum NSW and Victoria Barracks? \nThe Paddington Society has arranged for a tour of the Barracks prior to the event – available exclusively to Paddington Society Members attending the 60th Anniversary Celebration. \nWhen purchasing Member tickets\, you’ll be asked if each attendee will join the Barracks Tour. \nFor those joining the tour\, please enter at 5:30pm.
